Settlement against the County of Santa Cruz for an avid bicyclist injured on a county maintained road when he hit a bump in the road which ejected him from his bike causing him severe injuries. The County failed to fix the road even after it received complaints of prior accident at the same location.
Settlement for a bicyclist injured on the U.C. Santa Cruz meadow trail. A bicyclist traveling uphill popped a “wheelie” and lost control of his bicycle causing him to go into the downhill lane of travel. The plaintiff was coming downhill and was unable to avoid a collision. Plaintiff suffered severe injuries and had to be airlifted from the scene.
Settlement for a bicyclist injured when a U.C. Santa Cruz work truck made an illegal u-turn striking plaintiff as she was traveling down Natural Bridges St. in a bike lane.
